JOEL JOYCE, MD

Dr. Joyce is a pediatric dermatologist at NorthShore University HealthSystem, where he provides care for thousands of patients each year. His passion for dermatology and enthusiasm for clinical research are inseparable, leading him to join our team in 2019.

 

As a researcher, Dr. Joyce is driven by his desire to further the development of new and innovative treatments for those suffering from chronic skin conditions, making him a strong leader in the growth and expansion of our mission.

Dr. Mehlis is the director of the Dermatology Clinical Trials Unit at NorthShore University HealthSystem. Since taking over the unit in 2007, she has grown our trial capacity to over 40 concurrent studies and dramatically increased the number of patients and diseases we can help treat.

As a practicing NorthShore dermatologist and Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Chicago Pritzker School of Medicine, Dr. Mehlis bridges scientific research with compassionate patient care. She hopes that her efforts provide patients with solutions that restore their everyday health and wellbeing.


 

Thank you all so much for your hard work, compassion, and commitment to myself and all the other patients in your study...I'm incredibly grateful for the hair growth I have, but even if it had been unsuccessful, I think I still would've left hopeful and thankful for your dedication to helping your patients. It is clear you all care very much and I appreciate that you always showed your human side.
